They are seeking a Director of Strategy and Operations to design and operationalize a scalable operating model that supports growth and enhances client experience.ResponsibilitiesProvides strategic support and management of the end-to-end Illuminate Rx operating model, ensuring it is clearly defined, documented, maintained, and scalableTranslate strategy into practical workflows, governance structures, decision rights, and operating capabilitiesDefine how Illuminate Rx is sold, implemented, operated, governed, measured, and supported across internal teams and partnersIdentify operating model gaps, handoff risks, inefficiencies, and decision-making bottlenecks and lead efforts to resolve themPartner with Sales and Account Management to ensure the operating model supports growth, client expansion, and broker engagementDevelop scalable tools, playbooks, and processes that enable teams to explain, sell, implement, and manage Illuminate RxTranslate complex operating concepts into clear, practical guidance for client-facing and internal teamsLead operating model design for external solution partner integrations and service deliveryDefine partner onboarding standards, operating expectations, escalation paths, performance metrics, and governance routinesPartner with Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Operations to ensure partner relationships are scalable and well-controlledMonitor partner performance and drive continuous improvement across service, cost, and client experienceDevelop and maintain Illuminate Rx policies, procedures, playbooks, and operating documentationClarify roles, responsibilities, decision rights, escalation paths, and control expectationsSupport a strong control environment by partnering with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and FinanceServe as an internal subject matter expert on how Illuminate Rx works and how teams should support itDefine and track key performance indicators for the Illuminate Rx operating modelUse data and operational insights to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunitiesLead initiatives to improve scalability, execution quality, efficiency, and client experienceScale what works, eliminate what does not, and continuously strengthen Illuminate Rx’s differentiationSkillsCommercialization experience in pharmacy benefits, PBM, healthcare administration, or equivalent practical experience8 or more years of experience in strategy, operations, healthcare, pharmacy benefits, consulting, or business transformationExperience designing, implementing, or improving operating models and cross-functional business processesStrong understanding of healthcare, pharmacy benefits, PBM operations, or adjacent healthcare servicesProven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through executionStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguity into clear decisions and actionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong execution discipline and comfort managing multiple prioritiesDemonstrated ability to influence, build trust, and drive accountability across teamsExperience in PBM, specialty pharmacy, health plan operations, employer benefits, or healthcare consultingExperience working in a high-growth or startup-like environment where building from scratch and scaling quickly are requiredExperience with solution partner onboarding, vendor governance, service level management, and performance reportingAbility to context shift frequently across strategy, execution, commercial, and operational workstreams without losing effectivenessStrong cultural fit with a team that values clarity, fast decision-making, intellectual honesty, and knowing when the right meme can disarm tension, engage a team, or make a hard meeting more humanCompany OverviewRxBenefits is a health and wellness company that provides pharmacy benefits and administration services.
