They are seeking a Director of Sales Engineering to lead and develop a team of Sales Engineers, serve as a senior technical advisor, and drive product demonstrations and technical evaluations to communicate the value of the iboss Cloud Platform.ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Engineers, providing coaching, performance guidance, and career development to build a world-class pre-sales organization aligned with iboss go-to-market objectivesPartner with account executives to drive new customer acquisition by delivering compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements that articulate the value of the iboss Cloud PlatformServe as the primary technical resource throughout the sales cycle, responding to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires with accurate and thorough technical contentLead and manage proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot deployments, ensuring prospects experience the full capabilities of iboss solutions in their own environmentsWork with cross-functional internal teams (Product Management, Security, Marketing, Customer Success) to efficiently navigate complex sales cycles and exceed team goalsBuild strong, long-lasting relationships with technical stakeholders including CISOs, network architects, and security engineers by understanding their environments and challengesDeliver executive-level and technical-level discussions on Zero Trust, SSE, SASE, cloud security, SWG, CASB, DLP, RBI, and threat landscapesIdentify customer requirements and provide feedback to Product Management to influence the iboss product roadmapSupport channel partners and MSSPs with technical enablement, training, and co-selling activities to accelerate pipeline and close ratesStay current on competitive landscape, industry trends, and emerging threats to effectively position iboss solutions against alternativesContribute to the development of technical content including demo environments, architecture guides, battle cards, and best practice documentationSkillsMinimum 4+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering Manager or pre-sales leadership role, with a proven track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing Sales Engineering teams in the cybersecurity or networking industryMinimum 7 years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or technical pre-sales role within the cybersecurity or networking industryStrong understanding of network security technologies including Secure Web Gateway (SWG), CASB, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), DLP, Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS), and Remote Browser Isolation (RBI)Hands-on experience with cloud architectures, network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS), and enterprise IT environmentsProven ability to lead successful POC engagements and manage technical evaluations from kickoff through completionExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiencesFamiliarity with compliance frameworks and security standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and FedRAMPWillingness to travel when needed to support customer meetings, industry events, and on-site evaluationsExperience working with channel partners, MSSPs, and system integrators is a plusIndustry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific certifications preferredBenefitsCompetitive compensation, including bonus and equityUnlimited Paid Time Off (PTO)Health, Vision, Dental, open to domestic partners401K with company matchCompany Overviewiboss is a cloud security company that provides network security as a service, delivered in the cloud, and as a complete SaaS offering.
