They are seeking an experienced Director of Project Management in the Life Science sector, responsible for ensuring service excellence in service delivery and continued growth of their project management service offering.ResponsibilitiesStrong leadership skills, experience leading a project management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilitiesLead communications with the client and oversight of project management team servicesLead research related to construction market conditions, including analysis of official published dataProduce thought leadership reports providing valuable insights to the construction marketLead the strategic and operational management of Project Management Services in a variety of sectors, including resource planning and management, financial management, business generation and training and developmentSet a clear strategy and ambition with the team in line with our Business PlanGrow and develop exceptional people, promoting a culture of learning, respect and inclusivityKnowledge management – Ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and sharedProcess improvement – Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processesQuality Control – Ensure compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO auditsDevelop priority plans including risk mitigation through internal tools, make performance measurements via Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and appraisal documents, management controls and critical success factors based on company goalsUndertake internal BMS audits, and coordinate and represent the office for external audits undertaken by the external certification authorityDevelop a detailed understanding of the market, acting as a brand ambassador and creating a pipeline of opportunity with existing and new clientsIdentify and act upon cross-selling opportunitiesParticipate in meetings with Senior leadership, Directors and staff and prepare and deliver presentationsFinancial Management – Using internal software, track ongoing revenue, margin levels and monthly fees and resource requirements for each commissionPreparation of proposals/RFP responses for new clients/projectsAttend relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities with directorsSupport the training and mentorship of current staff and promote an upward career trajectoryProactively partner with talent acquisition team to attract the best talent, actively manage resource requirements and proactively plan for future staffing needsBe a role model that drives a one business culture that achieves great outcomes by striking the right balance for our people, clients, stakeholders, and societySOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicableSkillsBachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or field related to construction12+ years of relevant construction project management experience2+ years managing large high performing multi discipline teams in a consulting environmentProven track record of managing successful project management service delivery for clientsExceptional Business development ambition and acumen and demonstrated experience in achieving drive business growthMajor construction sector experience working with high caliber clients in; commercial real estate, data center, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, natural resources, etcDemonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skillsGraduate degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering is preferredCompany OverviewTurner & Townsend is an independent professional services company specializing in program management, project management.
