[Remote] Director of Operations Strategy (General Liability)

The Director of Operations Strategy will provide strategic leadership for the Target General Liability program, focusing on operational execution, client service delivery, and program initiatives to achieve high-quality outcomes and successful client partnerships.ResponsibilitiesProvides strategic leadership and oversight for a Large National Client program across both operational execution and client service deliveryDirectly oversees the GL Non-Litigation Claims Manager and GL Litigation Supervisor to ensure alignment across litigated and non-litigated operationsLeads operational performance management activities including claim quality, inventory management, cycle time, litigation trends, and financial outcomesOversees client stewardship, operational reporting, analytics, and presentation of program performance and strategic initiativesPartners with client stakeholders and internal operational leadership to develop, implement, and monitor program improvement initiativesTranslates operational and financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations to improve claim outcomes and operational effectivenessServes as the primary coordination point between operations, analytics, client stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure consistent execution of program objectivesPerforms other duties as assignedSupports the organization's quality program(s)Travels as requiredInterviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussionsProvides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performanceProvides cross-functional leadership and operational coordination across GL operational and support teamsSkillsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityTen (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include seven (7) years of claims management experience and four (4) years of supervisory experienceThorough knowledge of General Liability claims management practices and operational leadership principlesStrong operational leadership and organizational management skillsExcellent oral and written communication, including presentation skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skillsStrong understanding of operational analytics and performance managementAbility to interpret operational and financial data and communicate actionable insightsAbility to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational alignmentStrong client partnership and strategic collaboration skillsPC literate, including Microsoft Office products and reporting platformsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environmentCPCU, ARM, AIM, and/or AIC certificationsBenefitsMedicalDentalVision401k and matchingPTODisability and life insuranceEmployee assistanceFlexible spending or health savings accountOther additional voluntary benefitsCompany OverviewSedgwick is the worldβs leading risk and claims administration partner, helping clients thrive by navigating the unexpected.
