This senior leadership role involves overseeing programs and personnel, driving operational excellence, and managing P&L responsibilities while pursuing business growth opportunities.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct leadership and management for programs, projects, and personnel across assigned divisions and/or units within the SIT GroupOrganize project and task workloads, assign direct and indirect responsibilities, and select the most qualified individuals for specific tasksDevelop, refine, and implement SIT processes to ensure consistent performance and efficiency across programsAddress escalated issues through Program Managers and implement corrective actions to ensure resolutionOversee and manage budgets for assigned units, maintain full P&L accountability, and ensure alignment with business objectivesCultivate a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned with Bowheadβs mission and valuesMentor team members, offer professional development opportunities, and set clear expectations for performance and growthLead initiatives to expand the business pipeline, broaden the revenue base, and identify opportunities among existing DoD customers and in emerging marketsDevelop and execute strategies to drive organic growth and expand into new areas, leveraging Bowhead's established core competenciesLead and contribute to proposal development, including team coordination, technical content creation, and quality assuranceServe as a senior point of accountability for customer satisfaction, managing relationships with program stakeholders and leadership contactsContribute to and implement approved strategic plans aligned with division and corporate objectivesSkillsBachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology) and 10+ years of progressively responsible management experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least 5 years of experience in site lead, project management, and/or program management rolesDemonstrated experience in DoD contracting across technical, contractual, and leadership rolesFamiliarity with DoD acquisition environments, program structures, and government contracting frameworksKnowledge of PMO processes, project management methodologies, and continuous improvement practicesProven track record of managing programs to meet or exceed customer requirementsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levelsDemonstrated ability to lead independently and collaborate within cross-functional teamsStrong business acumen, including experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, and financial managementProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) at an intermediate to advanced levelA customer-centric mindset and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectivelyMust be able to lift up to 15 to 25 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallyMust be able to maintain a clearance at the Secret level and be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearanceUS Citizenship is a requirement for a Secret clearance at this locationExperience with Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) and other cost-type contract vehicles is highly desiredCompany OverviewUIC Government Services (UICGS).
