[Remote] Director of Operations

This role involves building and shaping the People function during a pivotal stage of growth, focusing on the full employee lifecycle and enhancing talent strategies to align with business objectives.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the company's people strategy, aligning talent initiatives with business objectivesPartner with leadership on organisational design, workforce planning and scaling initiativesReview and evolve compensation, benefits and total rewards programmesDesign and implement performance management frameworks, feedback processes and career progression pathwaysBuild leadership development programmes and equip managers with tools to support high-performing teamsCreate scalable approaches to employee development, succession planning and internal mobilityEnhance recruiting processes, hiring manager capability and candidate experienceEstablish systems and practices that support efficient and inclusive hiringPartner with leaders to identify future talent needs and workforce prioritiesOversee employee relations matters and provide guidance on complex people issuesEnsure compliance across a multi-state workforce, including employment regulations, worker classification and related processesMaintain and improve people policies, procedures and governance frameworksDrive initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement and employee wellbeingOwn employee listening programmes and translate feedback into meaningful actionContinuously improve onboarding, benefits, recognition and team connection initiativesSkills8+ years of progressive People/HR experience, including experience supporting geographically distributed teamsProven success building or significantly transforming a People function within a scaling organisationStrong understanding of employment practices and workforce compliance across multiple statesExperience partnering with both operational and professional teams within regulated or complex environmentsDemonstrated ability to coach leaders, influence stakeholders and drive organisational changeExperience managing and developing People team membersExcellent communication skills, sound judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approachA passion for helping people and organisations perform at their bestCompany OverviewEstablished Search is a global executive search firm focused on providing talent solutions across a broad range of job functions.
