[Remote] Director of Human Resources
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Migrant Clinicians Network (MCN), a national nonprofit founded in 1984, is seeking a full-time Director of Human Resources. The Director will lead all aspects of the HR function to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, overseeing HR operations including recruitment, talent management, and compliance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support MCN's goals and strategic planServe as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on HR matters and organizational developmentAdvance and strengthen a highly functioning, productive, and inclusive workplace culture by fostering belonging, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvementPartner with team leads to understand hiring needs and develop proactive recruitment plansImplement innovative sourcing strategies to build a diverse candidate pipelineLead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain high-performing staffDesign and implement a comprehensive performance management system that drives employee engagement and accountabilityDevelop and deliver training programs that enhance staff skills and leadership capabilitiesCollaborate with leadership on succession planning and talent development initiativesOversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure equity, competitiveness, and complianceEnsure compliance with all employment laws and regulationsMaintain HR policies, handbooks, and procedures aligned with best practicesManage HR operations, including employee records, payroll approval, and benefits administrationIdentify opportunities to digitize and streamline HR processesEnsure HR data and reporting are accurate and aligned with organizational goalsPromote a positive work environment aligned with MCN's mission and valuesAddress employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts fairlyImplement engagement initiatives and gather feedback to strengthen cultureLead organizational growth and change management initiativesSupport leaders in building strong, cohesive teamsAlign HR practices with the strategic plan, including performance management frameworksSkillsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's preferredMinimum 7 years HR experience, including 3 years in leadershipFluency in English required; Spanish preferredAbility to develop HR strategies aligned with organizational goalsStrong knowledge of employment laws and best practicesExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionProficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, and ZoomExperience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR)Ability to leverage AI tools for HR efficiencySHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferredNonprofit experience preferredBenefitsMCN offers full-time employees a competitive and comprehensive benefits packageCompany OverviewMCN is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that creates practical solutions at the intersection of vulnerability, migration, and health.
