[Remote] Director of Finance

As the Director of Finance, you will own the full financial function, from strategic planning and forecasting to daily operations, while leveraging outside resources and reporting directly to the founders.ResponsibilitiesOwn the monthly close process in Rillet, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and consolidated financial reportingManage per-event budget tracking and reconciliation across ~500 annual events spanning a wide range of size and complexityOversee membership revenue recognition and the recurring financial rhythms of a subscription-based modelCoordinate payroll and headcount cost tracking in partnership with our PEO and Head of PeopleLead expense management and policy enforcement via RampDeliver month-end and year-end reporting packages to the founders and leadership teamOwn financial planning and analysis: annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, scenario modeling, and cash flow managementServe as a strategic thought partner to the founders on capital allocation, pricing decisions, and growth investmentsDevelop and maintain financial models that give leadership clear visibility into unit economics, margins, and runwayIdentify and flag financial risks proactively — before they become problemsDesign and deploy finance agents for recurring workflows (e.g., invoice matching, budget vs. actuals alerts, anomaly detection, close checklists)Build event budget reconciliation tools the events team can use themselves, without needing to ping finance every timeAutomate data flows between Rillet, Ramp, Justworks, Chargebee, and Google Sheets/DriveContinuously expand the agent stack as the business grows and new needs emergeDocument your agents and workflows so the whole team can understand and maintain themSkills6+ years of progressive finance experience; CPA preferredDemonstrated experience in a senior finance role at a high-growth startup - either managing the entire finance function independently, or owning a strategic piece of it directly under the CFO — this role requires strategic judgment, not just executionGenuine enthusiasm for AI tooling — real-world experience building workflow automations is a hard requirementStrong financial modeling and FP&A chops alongside solid technical accounting fundamentalsExperience with (or fast ramp-up ability on) our stack: Ramp, Rillet, JustworksExceptional communicator who can translate financial complexity for non-finance colleagues and present with confidence to foundersComfortable with ambiguity and a high-event-volume environment where no two months look the sameSelf-directed and async-fluent — remote-first means you manage your own work, surface issues proactively, and don't wait to be askedBenefitsOffers EquityOffers BonusREMOTECompany OverviewThe Suite is a family of bespoke, invite-only executive communities that C-suite leaders rely on daily for better, faster decisions.
