[Remote] Director of Finance

They are seeking a commercially minded Director of Finance to own financial infrastructure, including FP&A, inventory strategy, and operations forecasting, while connecting financial data to business decisions.ResponsibilitiesOwn FP&A across the business — forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modelingBuild and maintain a rolling cash forecast and cash runway modelLead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheetPartner with the CEO and department heads on financial planning and business performance reviewsTrack and improve key unit economics — CAC, CLTV, contribution margin, COGS, and fulfillment costsIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities and bring them forward with clear recommendationsOwn inventory planning, forecasting, and reconciliation across the businessBuild demand planning models that align inventory investment to growth targetsPartner with Operations and Merchandising on purchasing decisions, lead times, and launch readinessMonitor inventory health — turns, aging, write-offs — and drive continuous improvementEnsure inventory accuracy and reporting integrity across systemsOwn operational forecasting in partnership with Operations TeamModel staffing scenarios, capacity plans, and operational cost structuresSupport budgeting and resource planning across operations, fulfillment, and productionBuild reporting that gives leadership real-time visibility into operational performanceIdentify cost efficiencies and drive cross-functional improvementsOwn the day-to-day relationship with our outsourced accounting firmEnsure accuracy and timeliness of all bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial close processesManage banking relationships, vendor payment terms, and cash managementBuild internal financial controls and compliance infrastructure that scales with the businessOwn and optimize the financial tech stack — accounting software and reporting toolsOversee legal function including vendor contracts, IP, employment matters, etcManage outside counsel relationships and ensure the business is appropriately protectedIdentify and mitigate legal and compliance risks as the business growsOwn contract review and execution process across the organizationProvide financial and operational support across departments on an as-needed basisOwn cross-functional reporting cadences and executive-level dashboardsSupport the CEO on ad hoc analysis, business planning, and strategic initiativesSkills6+ years of experience in finance, with meaningful DTC or consumer brand experienceStrong FP&A foundation — you are comfortable owning a forecast and defending itDeep experience in inventory strategy and demand planningExperience managing or partnering with an outsourced accounting functionComfortable with banking, vendor relationships, and financial controlsDeep understanding of unit economics, contribution margin analysis, and operational cost structuresSystems fluency — QuickBooks; strong in Excel or Google SheetsClear communicator who can translate financial complexity for a non-finance audienceBenefitsHealth Insurance + 401K match16 weeks of Paid Parental LeaveUnlimited PTO10 paid holidaysGenerous annual Petite Keep product allowance + employee discountMonthly Wellness Stipend$1,000 Educational StipendEmployer-paid month long sabbatical after 5 years servedCompany OverviewPetite Keep is a keepsake brand business that creates keepsake products through personalized, aesthetic, and intentional design.
