They are seeking a Director of Business Development in Electronic Warfare to lead efforts in identifying and capturing opportunities within the electromagnetic-spectrum operations domain, while defining go-to-market strategies and cultivating relationships with key partners.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive Electronic Warfare (EW) business strategy addressing near-term and emerging opportunities across Department of Defense (DoD) and Allied customersDefine market segments, growth drivers, procurement pathways, and competitive positioning within the broader EW ecosystemPartner with the Product Management and Engineering teams to align customer needs with Silvus’ evolving portfolio of RF and networking technologiesMaintain awareness of CEMA, JADC2, and related modernization initiatives to anticipate demand and guide long-term planningEstablish and expand relationships with Program Offices, PEOs, and Prime Contractors active in the EW and spectrum-operations communityLead opportunity identification, qualification, and capture planning in collaboration with internal technical and program teamsRepresent Silvus at industry events, trade shows, and government forums to strengthen visibility within the EW communityIdentify and pursue strategic alliances with OEMs, system integrators, and channel partners to accelerate market entry and solution adoptionEvaluate and recommend business models and teaming strategies that maximize reach, speed to market, and return on investmentSupport cross-functional coordination to ensure seamless execution from opportunity pursuit through contract awardBuild a data-driven business plan and forecast that is aligned with corporate objectivesProvide regular reporting to senior leadership on pipeline development, capture performance, and competitive insightsMaintain accurate CRM records and adhere to company sales-management processesTravel Requirements – required to facilitate strong customer engagementPerform other related duties of which the above are representativeSkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field10 + years of experience in business development, capture management, or program management within the defense or aerospace sectors, with emphasis on Electronic Warfare, SIGINT, or RF systemsProven success in securing and executing DoD programs valued at/over $1M – $20MStrong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, contract vehicles (IDIQ, OTA, BPA), and FAR/DFARS complianceTechnical familiarity with RF systems, spectrum operations, and EW mission areas (ES, EA, EP)Existing relationships within DoD EW programs and with major defense primes (e.g., L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Raytheon)Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hireMust be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contractsAll employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug testMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical fieldComprehensive understanding of Electronic Attack and Electronic Support technologies, including RF sensing, threat detection, jamming, and spectrum managementAwareness of CEMA, SIGINT, cyber-electromagnetic convergence, and future force-modernization initiativesDemonstrated ability to define new markets and go-to-market strategies for advanced defense technologiesProven leadership influencing cross-functional engineering and product teams to align technical capability with customer needExceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills across technical and executive audiencesBenefitsIncentive Bonus PlansMedical, Dental, Vision benefits401K with Company Match10 Paid HolidaysGenerous Paid Time Off PackagesEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid Parental & Family LeaveReferral Payment PlanCompany OverviewMotorola Solutions creates mission-critical communication solutions and services for public safety and commercial customers.
