They are seeking a commercially driven and technically credible Business Development & Sales Director to lead revenue growth across pharmaceutical companies, contract development and manufacturing organizations, and emerging biotech by owning the full sales cycle and building strategic partnerships.ResponsibilitiesOwn and exceed annual revenue targets across pharma, CDMO, and biotech verticalsBuild and manage a robust sales pipeline from prospecting through contract closeIdentify, qualify, and convert leads through outbound outreach, conferences, referrals, and partner channelsDevelop territory and account plans aligned with Enquystโ€™s growth strategyCultivate deep, multi-stakeholder relationships within target accounts (process development, manufacturing, procurement, and C-suite)Act as a trusted advisor to clients on bioprocess digitalization and intelligence strategiesNegotiate and close complex, multi-year SaaS and services agreementsDrive expansion and upsell motions within existing accountsMap and penetrate key decision-making units within large pharma and CDMO organizationsRepresent Enquyst at major industry conferences and forums (BPI, INTERPHEX, BioProcess International, DCAT)Identify and develop strategic partnerships with technology vendors, CROs, and consultanciesProvide market intelligence to inform product roadmap and positioningCollaborate closely with the CEO, product, and science teams to align commercial strategy with product capabilitiesDevelop compelling proposals, pitch materials, and business cases tailored to each prospectContribute to pricing strategy, commercial model design, and contract structuringEstablish scalable sales processes, CRM discipline, and reporting cadencesSkills7+ years of B2B sales or business development experience in bioprocessing, biotech, or life sciences technologyProven track record selling solutions directly to pharmaceutical companies and/or CDMOsDeep understanding of bioprocess workflows โ€” upstream cell culture, downstream purification, process development, and/or tech transferExperience closing complex, consultative SaaS, software, or data platform deals (5- to 7-figure ACV)Demonstrated ability to navigate long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and procurement processesExceptional communication and presentation skills โ€” able to translate technical value into business impactStrong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and deal structuringSelf-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable operating in a high-growth, early-stage environmentProficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and modern sales toolsAbility to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 30โ€“40%)Background or advanced degree in biochemical engineering, bioprocessing, or life sciencesExisting network within pharma process development, manufacturing operations, or CDMO leadershipExperience selling to both US and European biopharma marketsFamiliarity with data analytics, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 solutions in bioprocessingBenefitsEquity participation in a high-growth biotech intelligence companyFlexible, remote-first working environmentDirect access to the founding team and genuine influence on commercial strategyOpportunity to define and build a world-class sales function from the ground upComprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, pension/401k)Company OverviewEnquyst Technologies is on a quest to engineer next-generation biomanufacturing technology solutions to give the growing diversity of life changing and curative treatments a viable path to the clinic with affordable costs.
