They are seeking a Director of Business Development to drive sales growth by sourcing new opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesSource new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emailsRe-establish and expand the growth potential for dormant and existing customersUnderstand customer needs and requirements to match them to the appropriate product in our expanding portfolioWork closely with management, internal team members, external sales, and service teams to generate high customer satisfactionMaintain relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidanceResearch and provide recommendations on new solutionsRecommend profit and service improvementsProvide quotes for customersReview sales orders for accuracyEnter all new registrations into CRM along with associated opportunityComplete and maintain accurate sales forecasts, data gathering, and reports for daily use of CRM on all contacts, accounts, and opportunitiesMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking state-of-the-art practicesParticipating in trade shows to expand territory networking and growth potentialSkillsBachelor's degree – Business or Marketing/SalesAssociates degree considered with 5 years of relevant work experienceMinimum of 2 years of Sales experience dealing with a technical product line – preferably within cellular data communicationsIndependent achiever with history of achieving and exceeding sales goalsStrong technical product background/aptitude in IP Networking and Public Wireless Data TechnologiesMust be product certified with demonstrable expertiseProven success in the sales field working with OEM'sSkilled in developing and maintaining client relationshipsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be organized and able to manage time effectivelyAbility to prioritize multiple tasks, adhere to established deadlines, and perform under pressurePC and basic networking skills required with strong knowledge of using a CRM and Microsoft 365Proven ability to work as part of a team to achieve goalsMaintain a high level of integrity, quality work standards, and service excellenceBenefitsBonus potential401K with a company match to help you invest in your futureComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans to keep you at your bestTuition subsidyCompany OverviewWelcome to the official LinkedIn account of Tessco.
