The Director of Business Development will lead efforts to drive revenue growth, forge partnerships, and expand the company's market footprint within the eCommerce and Fulfillment sectors.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand Cart.com’s footprint in the 3PL & Fulfillment marketForm consultative relationships with our Brands & prospects to introduce Cart.com’s full breadth of Supply Chain servicesIdentify, engage, and secure high-value partnerships and clients that align with Cart.com’s strategic goalsCollaborate with internal teams, including operations, product development, and marketing, to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needsConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, refine strategies, and maintain a competitive edgeDrive customer retention and upselling efforts by deepening relationships with existing clients and identifying additional business opportunitiesNegotiate complex contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms for both Cart.com and its clientsTrack and analyze key performance metrics, using data-driven insights to improve strategies and forecast revenue growthRepresent Cart.com at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events, building strong relationships with potential partners and clientsSkills10+ years of experience in business development or sales leadership roles, preferably within eCommerce, logistics, or related industriesExperience with Health/Beauty/Wellness brands and sectorDemonstrated success in managing a multi-million-dollar sales pipeline and achieving or exceeding revenue targetsYou have experience in using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) to manage pipelines and track performance metricsYou have led cross-functional teams and collaborated with diverse stakeholders to deliver strategic initiativesYou are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop and execute business growth strategies in the eCommerce and 3PL industriesYou have a deep understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem, including platforms, supply chain logistics, and fulfillment processesYou possess exceptional sales leadership skills and have a proven track record of closing high-value deals and forging strategic partnershipsHighly skilled in financial analysis, contract negotiation, and revenue forecastingYou excel at building and maintaining relationships with C-suite and senior-level stakeholdersYou have outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire both internal teams and external partnersYou thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneouslyExperience with digital transformation initiatives or technology integrations in logistics and supply chainEstablished network of industry contacts in the eCommerce or 3PL spaceCertifications in sales leadership or business development methodologiesCompany OverviewCart.com is a technology company that provides a unified commerce platform to help companies from discovery to delivery.
