Remote Director - Live Event Productions
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Director to join our team at Disney, working on live event productions. As a Remote Director, you will be responsible for coordinating live productions of remote games, working with school and college sport production divisions to provide consistency and expertise to the broadcast organization and student workforce.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the technical production of live event broadcasts, including following storylines and working with the event producer to adjust transmission coverage plans as live events unfold. You will also work closely with producers, planning producers, and event operations teams to determine the creative and technical direction of live remote game broadcasts.
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance to schools on all aspects of TV production
Liaise with school production partners to provide feedback on student-produced content
Visit school production partner campuses to review equipment, discuss and recommend industry-standard production procedures, and provide a channel for guidance for school administrative staff
Design, coordinate, and execute live productions of live, remote games, properly documenting all assigned events
Make on-the-spot decisions regarding what pictures and sounds will be broadcast
Work with producers and event teams to determine camera placement at each venue
Collaborate with engineering experts for integration of all elements in a broadcast
Lead technical teams and consultants assigned to remote events
Conduct research on teams, players, storylines, trends, and more to be knowledgeable on each game/sport assigned
Provide guidance to live talent prior to broadcasts and direct them as needed during broadcasts
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of live game coordinating processes
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with all team members during live broadcasts
Knowledge of technical equipment involved in coordinating live remote games
In-depth live remote game coordinating skills
Knowledge of sports history
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of the financial implications of coordinating live remote games
Passion for popular culture and helping to define the preferences of ESPN's viewers
Understanding of market positioning and strategies for assigned games
Travel required
