They are seeking a full-time REMOTE Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, service desk, and IT operations functions, improving reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency across the environment.ResponsibilitiesOwn the strategy, architecture, and day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure, including Azure and cloud operations, servers, O365, and identity and access managementLead network and connectivity architecture, including VPN strategy, segmentation, data access experience, and operational resiliencyEnsure reliable performance and availability of IT services by monitoring systems, setting standards, and driving continuous improvementBuild documentation, knowledge transfer, and shared ownership practices to reduce single-person dependency across the environmentDirect the cybersecurity program, including security operations, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and incident responseMature governance, risk, and compliance practices, including identity and access governance, data classification and protection, and disaster recoveryModernize data access governance to enable secure self-service and executive agility without compromising security controlsPartner with internal and external stakeholders to align security with regulatory and audit requirementsOversee the service desk and end user support, including desktop support, user provisioning, device management, and incident managementImprove responsiveness and after-hours and weekend support coverage to strengthen business continuity and service availabilityEstablish service standards, metrics, and a continuous improvement model for end user experienceBuild and develop the infrastructure, security, and operations team; assess capabilities and add expertise where neededManage vendor and contractor relationships, evaluate which capabilities should remain external versus transition internal over time, and ensure cost-effective, performance-driven operationsManage the budget for the functions under this role, balancing cost, performance, and riskEstablish IT processes, standards, and governance for the selection, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure and security systemsCollaborate across application development, data, AI, and product teams to align infrastructure and security with a unified technology roadmapPerforms any other related duties as assigned or as necessarySkillsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role spanning infrastructure, security, and operationsProven experience leading IT infrastructure and cloud operations (Azure preferred), networking, identity and access management, and enterprise IT operationsDemonstrated experience building or running a cybersecurity program, including security operations, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and governance, risk, and complianceExperience leading service desk and end user support functions in a fast-paced business, including after-hours coverage modelsStrong vendor and contractor management experience, including evaluating build-versus-buy and insource-versus-outsource decisionsHands-on technical depth; comfortable in code-level and architecture-level discussions and capable of challenging recommendations from third-party consultantsExperience reducing single-person and vendor dependency through documentation, knowledge transfer, and process maturitySkilled at strategic planning and coordination across multiple functions, working collaboratively in a decentralized business and managing multiple stakeholdersMortgage or financial services industry experience a plusCompany OverviewCGS Business Solutions engages in application development, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering and staffing services.
