The Director, Global Marketing – Cenerimod will lead the global brand strategy, oversee pre-launch activities, and ensure compliance while managing cross-functional collaboration and financial resources.ResponsibilitiesDefine and evolve the global brand vision, positioning, and value proposition based on scientific evidence and market insightsDevelop and manage the Global Brand Plan (GBP), including long-range forecasts, strategic imperatives, and tactical prioritiesLead the annual brand planning process, ensuring alignment across global and regional teamsProvide brand governance and ensure alignment with corporate portfolio and therapeutic area strategiesLead pre-launch activities including market shaping, disease awareness, and competitive intelligence initiativesPartner with Medical Affairs to build the scientific narrative and prepare for data dissemination at key congressesOversee unbranded disease campaigns, early stakeholder engagement, and external communication frameworksEstablish global standards for launch readiness tracking, including KPIs and milestone dashboardsTranslate Phase 3 clinical data into compelling, compliant brand narratives and commercial communication toolsCollaborate with Clinical and Medical functions on publication planning and evidence-to-value translationDevelop global core claims and messaging architecture in alignment with regulatory and legal guidancePartner with Global Market Access and HEOR to define payer value stories, pricing scenarios, and early economic modelsSupport creation of the Global Value Dossier (GVD) and payer communication materialsIntegrate market access insights into overall brand strategy and affiliate planning toolsServe as the commercial lead on the Global Launch Readiness Team (GLRT), ensuring alignment across functions and regionsPartner with regional commercial leads to adapt and localize the global strategyChair brand or launch governance meetings as delegated by the Global Commercial LeadManage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and consultants supporting the Cenerimod programDevelop and manage the global marketing budget for Cenerimod, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, and reportingPrioritize resource allocation in line with strategic imperatives and ROI expectationsOversee third-party contracts and ensure vendor compliance with procurement policiesEnsure that all activities comply with corporate policies, regulatory standards, and PhRMA / EFPIA codesWork collaboratively with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance to review materials and initiativesMaintain readiness for internal audits and external inspections related to promotional or pre-launch activitySkillsBachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field requiredMinimum 10 years of pharmaceutical or biotech marketing experience, including global or regional leadership rolesProven success in pre-launch or launch preparation for specialty or immunology productsDemonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration within a matrixed organizationSolid understanding of drug development, clinical data interpretation, and evidence-based communicationStrong strategic and analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable plansExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and influencing capabilities across functions and geographiesStrong business acumen, financial management, and vendor oversightHigh standard of integrity and commitment to compliance and ethical conductFluent in English; additional languages a plusWillingness to travel internationally (approx. 20–30%)Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is requiredAdvanced degree (MBA, MSc, PharmD, or equivalent) preferredPrior experience in autoimmune or rare diseases strongly preferredBenefitsCompetitive salariesBenefitsAn inclusive environment where you can use your experiences, perspectives and skills to help make an impact on the lives of othersCompany OverviewViatris is a global pharmaceutical company formed in 2020 through the combination of Mylan and Upjohn, a legacy division of Pfizer.
