This role involves optimizing financial performance through advanced data analysis, mentoring analysts, and collaborating across teams to ensure quality insights and reporting.ResponsibilitiesLead and direct a team of analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management support to team membersSet clear objectives, prioritize projects, and ensure the team's efforts align with organizational goalsResponsible for overall project management for the Financial Performance Analytics TeamEstablish trusted financial data that is recognized as one source of truth to minimize confusion and allow for more timely information and advanced analyticsOversee the development and maintenance of analytical models for various aspects of the health system's operationsConduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendationsAnalyze large volumes of financial data, costs, revenue trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencyDevelop and manage reporting systems, including interactive dashboards for monitoring key financial metricsWork with Data Management & Business Intelligence team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal stakeholders and external partnersSkillsBachelor's degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years)8 years of experience in finance, analytics or operations4 years of management experience overseeing people or projectsDemonstrated expertise in StrataJazz cost accounting, with direct experience leveraging the platform to support financial performance analysis, reporting, and decision-makingPrior experience in Financial Analytics within a healthcare setting, including working in an Agile environment and collaborating cross-functionally to drive data-informed operational and financial outcomesAdvanced technical proficiency in Power BI, Epic and SQL with demonstrated experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing large-scale clinical and financial datasets to support enterprise-level financial performance analytics and decision-makingBenefitsThis position is eligible for remote work for candidates residing in the following states – VA, MD, DC, DE, FL, GA, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, WV.Company OverviewWe are Inova, Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
