[Remote] Director, Finance Management Systems

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, and they are seeking a senior, strategic, and technically fluent Director of Financial Management Systems to join their Finance organization. This role will serve as the internal product owner and strategic lead for the enterprise FP&A and financial systems platform, overseeing technology, data, and processes that support financial decision-making across the company.ResponsibilitiesOwn the multi-year platform roadmap for the FP&A and financial systems landscape, aligned to Finance transformation priorities and business needsEnsure the availability, performance, and data integrity of core financial systems including planning, consolidation, and reporting applicationsOversee change management and release governance across development, test, and production environments; maintain SOX controls compliance for system access and configuration changesPartner with Accounting and FP&A to maintain and evolve planning models, driver logic, hierarchies, and allocation methodologies in support of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cyclesOversee the development and maintenance of financial reports, dashboards, and management packages for senior leadership and the boardLead, develop, and grow a team of systems analysts, model builders, and data engineers; set clear goals, manage performance, and provide regular coaching and feedback to support individual growth and team effectivenessOwn team hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning; identify skill gaps and build team capabilities to reduce reliance on external consultants over timePrioritize and manage the team’s project backlog and day-to-day workload across competing requests from FP&A, Accounting, and business units; ensure appropriate capacity for both run-the-business and strategic initiativesFoster a team culture of continuous improvement, documentation, and Accounting/Finance-first service delivery; establish team standards, best practices, and operating rhythms that scale with business growthServe as the primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders across FP&A, Accounting, and business units on systems matters; translate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsOwn the platform vendor relationship, including renewals, escalations, and roadmap alignment; evaluate new features and capabilities to inform investment decisionsSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)8+ years of experience in FP&A systems, financial planning technology, or EPM/CPM platforms; 3+ years in a people management or team leadership roleDeep hands-on experience with one or more leading FP&A platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, OneStream, Planful, or Oracle EPM)Strong understanding of FP&A processes: budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, management reporting, and close cyclesExperience managing data integrations between financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday)Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and change management controls in a financial systems contextExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills — able to translate effectively between Finance, IT, and vendor partnersProven ability to lead or play a senior role in an EPM implementation or major re-platforming effortApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the futureExperience in a public company or multinational environment preferredBenefitsEmployees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life and disability insurance.Employees can enroll in our company’s 401(k) planAre provided vacation, sick and holiday pay.Company OverviewSOLV Energy offers engineering procurement construction, operations, maintenance, technology and services.
