They are seeking a Director of Finance Analytics & Reporting to drive advanced analytics and quantitative guidance for their Finance organization, supporting growth strategies and delivering value through data analysis.ResponsibilitiesPlayer-Coach : Demands the ability and flexibility to balance hands-on execution tasks including coding, analysis, and dashboard development with team leadership providing oversight, management and support to a team of analystsStrategic Partner : Serve as an analytics and business partner to Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Revenue Operations). Provides strategic & analytics insights to enable the achievement of short-term and long-term goals. Able to connect operational reporting and analytics needs to financial outcomesProject Management : Oversee complex, multi-departmental projects by identifying strategic requirements, collaborating with senior operational teams, and managing enterprise-level milestones through implementation while ensuring alignment with corporate objectivesControl Governance : Responsible for maintaining SOX-compliant internal controls over financial reporting, including access controls, IT general controls, change management, and segregation of duties; ensuring thorough documentation, periodic testing, and management review processes are in place to validate control effectiveness and support accurate audit reportingLifetime Value : Own the maintenance, development and adherence to audit controls of Lifetime Value (LTV) models used for financial forecasting, revenue recognition and business optimization. Analyze and evaluate changes to retention performance, constraints and overall risks associated to the modelsBusiness Intelligence : Oversee the design and delivery of centralized financial reporting solutions on the analytics platform. Guide the development of governed financial datasets and reusable analytical assets that lead the transition from fragmented manual reporting toward automated, scalable reporting environments that ensure consistency, usability, and adoption across the organizationRevenue & Cash Reporting : Lead initiatives to support finance and accounting operations, through reporting for revenue automation, cash collection, commission forecasts, policy auditing, partner accounts payables, agent compensation and bank transactionsMembership Reporting : Build dashboards to monitor growth in Membership and decompose period-over-period drivers of change. Serve as strategic thought partner to the business in bridging the gap between operational and financial membership reportingSkills+15 years of related experienceUndergraduate degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related degreeAdvanced skills with BI tools (preferably Tableau) and how to prepare data and associated visualizations to maximize impactExpert SQL experience with ability to manipulate data quickly, efficiently and develop complex scalable data models to support reporting solutionsStrong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clientsAbility to direct team members through ambiguity and determine direction and execution of strategic plansKnowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, statistical tests and proper usage, sampling, etc.)Solid programming skills with knowledge of PythonUnderstanding of financial metrics (e.g. LTV, CAC, revenue, cash collection, commissions, accounts payable, retention, churn, etc.) and experience translating data into actionable insightsExperience implementing and managing SOX controls, including ITGC, access management, change management, and audit processes, with a track record of supporting control documentation, testing, and successful internal or external auditsExcellent interpersonal, collaboration and presentation skillsProven experience in participating with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectivesStrong communication skills and proven history of translating concepts and knowledge between technical and non-technical teamsAbility to reconcile multiple stakeholder views to drive business resultsFamiliarity with Databricks, git and version controlBenefitsMedical, dental and vision beginning on your first day of employment401K with matchingTuition reimbursementEmployee stock purchase program12 company paid holidays and flexible time off (PTO for non-exempt)Annual performance bonusCompany OverviewFor nearly 30 years, eHealth has helped millions of Americans find the healthcare coverage that fits their needs at a price they can afford, using data, artificial intelligence and a consumer-first approach to help people quickly and effectively compare insurance options.
