[Remote] Director, Executive Benefits (Higher Education)

ALM First is a leading strategic partner for depository institutions, and they are seeking a Director of Executive Benefits to expand their services into the higher education market. This role focuses on building relationships with universities and colleges to introduce executive benefits solutions, while developing strategies for leadership retention and succession planning.ResponsibilitiesEstablish and grow ALM Firstβs executive benefits presence in the higher education sectorIntroduce and consult on executive benefit solutions, including 457(f) plans, split-dollar arrangements, and other executive compensation and retention strategies that support leadership recruitment, retention, and succession planningLeverage industry relationships and networks to open doors and create new opportunitiesBuild relationships with university presidents, CFOs, HR leaders, and governing boardsConsult on executive benefit strategies designed to attract and retain senior leadershipDevelop new opportunities through outreach, industry engagement, and networkingRepresent ALM First at conferences, industry gatherings, and leadership forumsPartner with internal specialists who support case design, technical analysis, and implementation, allowing you to focus on relationship development and business growthSkillsExperience in consultative B2B sales or advisory roles working with senior leadership or governing boardsA strong track record of developing new business through strategic relationship building and industry connectionsSuccess in selling, advising on, or supporting executive benefits programs, including 457(f) plans, split-dollar arrangements, and other executive compensation strategiesStrong communication and presentation skillsWillingness to travel for conferences and client meetings (approximately 30 - 50%)A natural relationship builder who enjoys connecting with senior leaders and developing long-term partnershipsWell-networked within higher education or adjacent industries, with relationships you can leverage to open conversations and build trustEntrepreneurial and energized by building a new market presence from the ground upComfortable working independently while collaborating with an experienced internal teamProfessional, personable, and capable of delivering a high-touch client experienceConfident presenting and engaging with executive leadership teams and governing boardsMotivated by growth and the opportunity to create and expand a new business lineExperience in higher education, financial services, consulting, or executive compensation is helpful but not requiredCompany OverviewALM First is a leading, trusted strategic partner for financial advisory services.
