They are seeking a Director of Educational Strategy to drive growth through supporter engagement, partnership development, and grant funding acquisition, ensuring educational impact through strategic relationships and grant management.ResponsibilitiesManage and deepen relationships with existing supporters, ensuring consistent engagement across the program lifecycleExpand MLI’s network by identifying and cultivating new funding partners aligned with our educational mission—prioritizing long-term partnerships over one-off opportunitiesDevelop and maintain a balanced funding pipeline across live and online CME by responding to vetted opportunities and RFPs that align with MLI’s capabilitiesAdvocate for supporter investment by clearly communicating program impact, outcomes, and value throughout the grant lifecycleManage the full grant lifecycle from submission through post-award stewardship, including RMIs, grant portal navigation, and on-time delivery of all reporting requirementsServe as the primary supporter contact from initial outreach through program completion, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and confident in MLI’s executionProactively address concerns and translate supporter needs into actionable internal prioritiesPartner with science, production, marketing, and outcomes teams to ensure programs align with grant commitments and deliverablesCollaborate with marketing on positioning and messaging strategies that reflect MLI’s differentiated capabilitiesMonitor developments in medical education, key therapeutic areas, and the pharmaceutical landscape to anticipate funding shifts and supporter prioritiesTranslate market intelligence into strategic insights that inform business development and program planningEngage actively at industry conferences, networking events, and supporter meetings to maintain MLI’s visibility and credibilityDeliver compelling capabilities presentations that articulate MLI’s value and differentiation to prospective and current supportersSkills5+ years of experience in CME/CE, healthcare education, pharmaceutical marketing, medical communications, or related business developmentDemonstrated track record of securing grant funding, sponsorships, educational support, or strategic partnershipsFamiliarity with pharmaceutical grant strategy, including interpreting a supporter's pipeline and commercial priorities and translating them into a fundable educational rationaleCuriosity and awareness of emerging trends across healthcare, medical education, and the pharmaceutical industryStrong consultative selling and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholdersExceptional presentation, communication, and networking abilitiesAbility to identify opportunities, navigate ambiguity, and independently drive initiatives forwardFamiliarity with CME/CE grant funding processes, RFP workflows, and supporter engagement best practicesStrong cross-functional collaboration skills across science, marketing, and outcomes teamsGenuine interest in medical education and its role in improving clinical practice and patient outcomesEstablished industry relationships within pharma, biotech, medical education, or healthcare organizations strongly preferredCHCP certification or willingness to pursue it preferredCompany OverviewMLI is a provider of Interprofessional Continuing Education and has achieved Joint Accreditation with Commendation, allowing us to deliver accredited education designed to impact the practice behavior of the healthcare team, thus, improving patient outcomes.
