[Remote] Digital Innovation Co-Op – Supply Chain

They are seeking a Digital Innovation Co-Op to work on end-to-end projects in operations intelligence, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to automate supply chain workflows and develop machine learning models.ResponsibilitiesAssist in building or testing AI-powered tools that automate supply chain workflows (e.g., PO anomaly detection, logistics exception alerts)Help prototype lightweight bots or agents that connect internal tools and enterprise systems (ERP, planning platforms, Salesforce)Support evaluation and testing of LLM-based assistants for operational use casesContribute to ML model development for demand forecasting, inventory analysis, or risk detectionExplore and clean supply chain datasets; perform exploratory data analysis to surface insightsBuild dashboards or notebooks that make model outputs accessible to business teamsPartner with stakeholders in Planning, Procurement, Fulfillment, and Production Engineering to understand pain points and data needsParticipate in team standups, design reviews, and sprint ceremoniesPresent findings and project updates to the team and business partnersChampion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new officesSkillsCurrently enrolled in an accredited BS or MS program (Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial/Supply Chain Engineering, Statistics, or related)Proficiency in Python for data analysis (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn or equivalent)Familiarity with SQL or experience querying structured datasetsComfort working with ambiguous problems and iterating toward solutionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCoursework or project experience in machine learning, NLP, or operations researchExposure to LLMs or generative AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, LangChain)Familiarity with supply chain concepts: demand planning, inventory, procurement, or logisticsExperience with data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, Plotly)Prior internship, research, or project experience in a data-focused roleKnowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP) or CRM platforms (Salesforce) is a plus but not requiredBenefitsPerformance-based bonus/variable payEquity (for eligible roles)A flexible, employee-led remote modelA professional development stipendComprehensive health and parental leave plansCompany OverviewSamsara is digitizing the world of physical operations.
