As a DevOps Engineer V, you will lead the design and management of cloud-native infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes and AWS EKS, while driving platform reliability and operational excellence across critical workloads.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters, primarily on AWS EKSBuild and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes best practicesDefine and enforce standards for containerization, deployment patterns, and cluster operationsImplement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant platform architecturesProvision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)Develop reusable modules and automation frameworks to enable self-service infrastructureDrive infrastructure standardization, cost optimization, and performance improvementsDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application deliveryIntegrate automated testing, security scanning, and deployment strategies (blue/green, canary)Enable development teams with tooling, templates, and best practices for DevOps adoptionImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for Kubernetes workloads and infrastructureDefine SLOs/SLIs and drive improvements in system reliability and performanceLead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement effortsEnsure Kubernetes and cloud environments meet security and compliance standardsImplement secure configurations, access controls, and audit capabilitiesPartner with InfoSec teams to manage risk and compliance initiativesMentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and career development supportCollaborate with Cloud Architects and cross-functional teams to define platform strategyContribute to technical documentation, architecture reviews, and internal knowledge sharingLeading Kubernetes (EKS) platform strategy and operational excellence initiativesDriving containerization and modernization efforts across applicationsPartnering with engineering teams to optimize deployment and runtime performanceSupporting incident response and participating in on-call rotationsContinuously improving automation, observability, and reliability capabilitiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience7+ years of progressive experience in cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering rolesStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes including production cluster operationsExperience with container technologies such as DockerDeep experience with AWS, including Amazon EKSStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation)Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Experience with observability and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar)Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, or similar)Experience with Git-based workflows and version control best practicesFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologiesStrong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis experienceExcellent communication and cross-team collaboration skillsAWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes-specific certifications such as CKA/CKAD)Experience implementing security best practices for Kubernetes (RBAC, network policies, secrets management)Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)Experience with multi-cluster or hybrid Kubernetes environmentsBenefitsWe offer a competitive salary, bonus structure, generous HSA company contribution, healthcare, vision, dental benefits and a 401k match program that you can take advantage of on day one!We offer unlimited PTO for salaried associates + 9 paid holidays.
