[Remote] DevOps Engineer - Only W2 Tax term

ALIS Software LLC is seeking a senior, hands-on DevOps Engineer/Architect to design and manage modern infrastructure across cloud, backend platforms, and bare metal. This role emphasizes practical automation over pure coding, focusing on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Kubernetes scaling, and reliability improvements. Responsibilities • Design and automate scalable infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform and Terragrunt • Standardize and scale Kubernetes environments for production use • Build, enhance, and maintain arenaflex/CD pipelines and platform tooling (Jenkins preferred) • Develop secure, repeatable infrastructure patterns in collaboration with engineering teams • Boost system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency through automation-first practices Skills • 12+ months in senior DevOps/Architecture roles • Proven ability to design end-to-end systems, articulate tradeoffs, scalability, and reliability patterns • Strong production-quality coding in Python or Golang for infrastructure automation and tooling • Deep hands-on with Terraform/Terragrunt for large-scale cloud infrastructure • Production deployment, operation, and troubleshooting experience with Kubernetes • Proficiency with Tower or AWX for configuration management and automation • OS-level comfort with performance tuning, networking, packages, and system behavior in Linux • Experience across AWS/GCP/Azure clouds and bare metal/physical infrastructure • Pipeline design and automation workflows • HashiCorp Consul (service discovery) • Temporal/Cadence (workflow orchestration) • Kong • Advanced Jenkins • NetScaler (Citrix) • Route 53 DNS • Grafana • Nexus/Artifactory • Multi-region architectures Company Overview • ITIS ,Data analytics and Staffing company It was founded in 2014, and is headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
