[Remote] DevOps Engineer - Only W2 Tax term
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ALIS Software LLC is seeking a senior, hands-on DevOps Engineer/Architect to design and manage modern infrastructure across cloud, backend platforms, and bare metal. This role emphasizes practical automation over pure coding, focusing on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Kubernetes scaling, and reliability improvements.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design and automate scalable infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform and Terragrunt
ā¢ Standardize and scale Kubernetes environments for production use
ā¢ Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling (Jenkins preferred)
ā¢ Develop secure, repeatable infrastructure patterns in collaboration with engineering teams
ā¢ Boost system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency through automation-first practices
Skills
ā¢ 12+ months in senior DevOps/Architecture roles
ā¢ Proven ability to design end-to-end systems, articulate tradeoffs, scalability, and reliability patterns
ā¢ Strong production-quality coding in Python or Golang for infrastructure automation and tooling
ā¢ Deep hands-on with Terraform/Terragrunt for large-scale cloud infrastructure
ā¢ Production deployment, operation, and troubleshooting experience with Kubernetes
ā¢ Proficiency with Tower or AWX for configuration management and automation
ā¢ OS-level comfort with performance tuning, networking, packages, and system behavior in Linux
ā¢ Experience across AWS/GCP/Azure clouds and bare metal/physical infrastructure
ā¢ Pipeline design and automation workflows
