[Remote] DevOps Engineer - Identity & Access Management
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The University of Minnesota is seeking a DevOps Engineer for the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. The ideal candidate will support the transition to cloud-based services, build and maintain automation tools, and ensure quality software delivery in a DevOps environment.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Support transition from on premise services to cloud based services
ā¢ Build, implement and/or maintain automation tools
ā¢ Participate in IAM on-call team
ā¢ Perform regular operational maintenance (e.g. patching, credential rotation, certificate management)
ā¢ Troubleshoot and solve problems across multiple systems/platforms (including across organizational boundaries)
ā¢ Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, ensure quality software delivery, and maintain a stable system in a DevOps environment
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree
ā¢ Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery systems (Azure Devops, Jenkins or equivalent)
ā¢ Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Chef, Ansible or equivalent)
ā¢ Experience with Secrets Management (Hashicorp Vault, Azure Key Vault or equivalent)
ā¢ Experience with Linux System Administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred)
ā¢ Experience in a compliance-heavy environment (e.g. PCI, HIPAA, FERPA)
ā¢ Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL)
ā¢ Experience with Cloud Service Providers (Azure or AWS)
ā¢ Experience with Containerization (Docker or equivalent)
ā¢ Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet or equivalent)
ā¢ Experience with integration tools (Boomi, Power Automate or equivalent)
ā¢ Experience with shell scripting (sh, bash) and proficient with one other programming language (Python/Ruby/Go/Perl)
ā¢ Intermediate Networking experience (Ex. TCP/IP, UDP, Routing, Firewalls, F5 load-balancers)
ā¢ Working knowledge of Agile framework
ā¢ Understanding of fundamental programming languages
ā¢ Experience with version control tools (Git, Artifactory or similar)
ā¢ Experience with Identity and Access Management tools (Grouper, Active Directory, LDAP/OUD, Shibboleth, Entra ID)
