[Remote] DevOps Engineer (East Coast)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VAST Data is a rapidly growing company focused on building a data platform for the AI era. They are seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance the efficiency of their Sales Engineering team by developing software and infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop and improve internal toolsets that directly support the Sales Engineers, improving their ability to quickly deliver VAST value to our customers
ā¢ Automate tasks involved in the VAST sales and delivery process
ā¢ Manage infrastructure supporting critical web-based applications
ā¢ Maintain infrastructure supporting Docker-based applications
ā¢ Develop and maintain internal and external facing applications built on various technologies such as Node.JS, Angular, SCSS, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, AWS ECS (and related services such as S3, ALB, EC2, SSM, etc)
Skills
ā¢ U.S. citizenship is required to ensure compliance with legal and security clearance obligations
ā¢ Experience with managing AWS infrastructure and services such as ECR, ECS, ALB, S3, EC2
ā¢ Experience with software development practices and at least one programming language (JavaScript is preferred, but not required)
ā¢ Linux/Unix/Windows shell scripting experience
ā¢ Experience with IP-based networking and related technologies / services such as DHCP, DNS, multicast, VLANs, LACP, IP subnetting, and routing protocols
ā¢ Experience writing technical documentation, both for internal engineers and external customers
ā¢ Experience in developing, integrating, or utilizing AI-driven agents for code generation, testing, or infrastructure automation
ā¢ Experience with code repository systems such as GitLab
ā¢ Experience with infrastructure-as-code and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
ā¢ Experience with web-based technologies such as HTML, CSS, WebSockets, REST APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON
ā¢ Understanding of common web-application frameworks such as Angular, React.JS, Bootstrap
