[Remote] DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Tiger Resourcing Group is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain stable, secure, and efficient infrastructure environments supporting software deployments. This role bridges development, operations, and customer environments to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery.ResponsibilitiesIndependently plan and execute infrastructure and deployment objectivesCollaborate across Sales, Engineering, Configuration Management, Support, and Project Management teamsImplement and promote DevOps best practices to improve quality and efficiency across the full software development life cycleDesign and maintain resilient infrastructure environments (cloud and client-hosted) to meet uptime and service delivery requirementsIdentify and implement automation for infrastructure capabilities including backups, monitoring, and security toolingMonitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesRecord baselines, define product thresholds, and track performance trends related to deployments and configurationsEvaluate and implement tools to enhance deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure managementManage and configure virtual machines using platforms such as VMware and Hyper-VDevelop and maintain automated configuration management processes for installations across products and customer environmentsInstall proprietary and third-party software across development, test, and production environments, including customer sitesMaintain detailed documentation for installation and deployment proceduresManage Kubernetes environments, including: Installing and configuring clusters (bare metal and virtual servers)Managing cloud-based clustersDeploying, updating, and managing pods and containersManaging nodes and storage accountsMaintain detailed software release records for customer sitesPerform database imports/exports, execute scripts, and write complex SQL queriesSupport field device testing, release rollouts, OS patching, application configuration, and COTS tool upgradesCoordinate and execute software releases to customer production environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and document scalable architectural solutionsParticipate in a 24/7 on-call rota to support infrastructure issues and meet SLA commitmentsSkills3–6 years' experience designing, deploying, and maintaining on-premises and hosted solutionsProven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a scalable production environmentStrong understanding of DevOps processes supporting Agile development, CI/CD, and automated deploymentsHands-on experience with Kubernetes and cluster management tools (e.g., Rancher)Experience with Git and hosted platforms such as GitHub or BitbucketExperience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or CircleCIProficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, or PHP)Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Go, JavaScript, or C++Familiarity with APIs including REST, GraphQL, and SOAPStrong Linux and/or Windows system administration skillsExperience provisioning and managing infrastructure in cloud environments (preferably AWS)Demonstrated experience managing multi-node clusters, including maintenance tasks such as: Changing IP addresses or host nodes, Modifying storage locations for pods and servicesCompany OverviewTiger Resourcing Group is an IT and engineering recruitment firm.
