[Remote] DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer will design and optimize infrastructure and automation, ensuring secure and scalable environments for data protection solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) with a focus on security, high availability, and scalabilityBuild and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar toolsAutomate provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines across development, staging, and production environmentsDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)Implement automated testing, security scanning, and deployment workflowsImprove release velocity while ensuring reliability and complianceEmbed security into infrastructure and deployment practices (“DevSecOps”)Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for security events and system performanceCollaborate with security teams to meet compliance requirements (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.)Own uptime, performance, and scalability of services in productionImplement observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term system improvementsWork cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teamsEvangelize DevOps best practices and contribute to a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvementDocument infrastructure, processes, and runbooks for internal teamsSkills3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or similar rolesStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestrationProficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesSolid understanding of networking, security principles, and Linux systemsStrong scripting abilities (Python, Bash, Go, etc.)Experience with monitoring and observability toolsClearance eligibleBenefitsAbility to work remotely, with office setup reimbursementCompetitive salaryUnlimited PTOPaid holidays and sick timeHealth, vision, and dental insuranceLife, short and long-term disability insuranceCompany OverviewCyera is an AI-native data security platform that helps enterprises discover, classify, govern, and protect sensitive data.
