[Remote] Development and Communications Associate

They are seeking a Development and Communications Associate to support fundraising and communications operations, including grant writing, database management, and donor stewardship.ResponsibilitiesDraft grant proposals and reports, customized to address the key focus areas and requirements of prospective and current donors, collaborating with other teams to generate content. Ensure proposals/reports are on time and within scopeSupport the team in streamlining systems and processes to make grant reporting and information sourcing more efficient and to ensure stakeholders are informed and connected to our progress and missionConduct prospect research to identify potential institutional supporters and prepare the CEO for funder prospect meetingsMaintain Salesforce database for foundation and individual donors and prospects, logging notes and next steps to ensure consistent follow-up, donor cultivation, and timely proposal and report submissionSupport the execution of the fundraising strategy for individual giving, maintaining current donor revenueExecute donation and donor acknowledgement processes and ensure timely acknowledgement and record keeping for both partiesProvide day-to-day administrative support for the Development DepartmentSupport with drafting and executing TU’s regular communications projects for philanthropic supporter audiences (biannual donor calls, annual report, email campaigns, and newsletters)Increase TU’s presence at conferences and sector events by researching activities, tracking outreach and attendees, and securing speaking opportunities at conferencesManage creation, design, and language of donor materials as neededProvide assistance to the CEO as needed, including TU Board of Directors management and meeting supportAs a growing organization, flexibility, positivity, and teamwork are key.
