[Remote] Developer and Operations Analyst

They are seeking a Software Developer and Operations Analyst to develop, deploy, and maintain Python-based analytic pipelines and client-facing experiences, while also ensuring the stability of processing pipelines and engaging with clients.ResponsibilitiesCreate high performing, reliable Python-based geoprocessing modules leveraging ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python and open source geospatial librariesPrepare complex scripts or programs to automate functions within a desktop or web-based GIS environmentCreate or modify base files and assist in the preprocessing of data locally or in virtual environmentsUnderstand development best practices in developing and maintaining applications, including writing code, testing and debugging, source control and documentationDesign and deploy cloud compute, storage and network infrastructure in Azure or AWSDevelop stand-alone desktop or web-based software applications that integrate spatial and tabular data (e.g. client-facing dashboards and experiences with ArcGIS Online)Maintain and report on stability of tasked processing pipelines and resulting dashboards/platformsPerform checks and accuracy assessments on processing using ancillary datasetsTask, analyze, annotate and publish high-resolution imageryContribute to larger imagery-based studies in areas of interestAuthor and co-author analytical reports as neededRespond to customer queries and requests as directed by the Director of Development and OperationsAttend and participate in client meetingsIdentify efficiencies and quality improvements to various analytic pipelines and workflowsIdentify new clients and/or servicesEnsure quality and high-cadence communication and dialogue between peers, management team, and clientsSkillsBachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g. mathematics, applied and computational mathematics, computer science, engineering and applied science, geographical information systems, et.al.)1-2 years of programming experience with Python (Scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)1-2 years of experience working in a team environmentDesire to work in a variety of capacities (i.e. all hands on deck) to drive the success of the team and companyAbility to effectively communicate with team members and management about your work and time managementComfortable working in a transparent, accountable, and safe to fail fast team environmentCreative thinking skills to effectively navigate new challenges and client questionsAbility to adapt quickly to changing needs and requestsFamiliarity with ArcPy or ArcGIS APIFamiliarity or willingness to operate in a Scrum project environment with 2-3 week sprintsBenefits401(k)Opportunities for personal and professional growthCompany OverviewLeveraging advancements in artificial intelligence and spatiotemporal data streams to inform and impact policies across industries and power real-time decisions.
