The role involves growing merchandise, equipment, and service sales, forming business relationships with customers, and actively seeking new sales opportunities.ResponsibilitiesHeld accountable to achieve quarterly and annual sales Gross Profit (GP) goals by actively participating and executing key sales initiatives and programsDirects sales activities within the territory through the coordination of all team selling. Selling efforts must be highly coordinated to meet the complex needs of a rapidly changing industry and customerDevelops, manages, and increases Merchandise, Equipment, and Service Sales in a specific territory as defined by Regional Manager, this requires face to face consultative contact with every customer and regular customer business reviewsActively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social mediaPlans, organizes, and implements effective strategies using all company programs, tools and initiatives to increase market share in Merchandise, Equipment, Service and Henry Schein Solutions (Henry Schein One, Henry Schein Practice Solutions, etc.) Key Tools include Content Management Systems (CMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and predictive sales toolsAttends all sales meetings, dental conventions, seminars, internal training programs, and industry events as instructed by Regional Manager to promote event selling/creating deeper relationship with customerSkillsAt least 2 years prior sales experience preferredProfessional selling skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customersProficient computer software skills including the use of Microsoft Office suiteAttention to detailProject management skillsGoal-oriented and effective time management skillsSolid skills in client prospecting and account managementAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamPassion for sales, always wanting more, never settlingUnderstanding of industry practicesStrong presentation and public speaking skillsStrong interpersonal skillsStrong conflict resolution skills and ability to deliver difficult messagesAbility to build partnerships at all levels within the company, ability to build partnerships externallyGood negotiating skillsResolve complex issues in effective waysProject management, consultative skills and ability to manage a budgetThis position requires extensive travel within a specific geographic territory assignmentTypically, a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related disciplineCompany OverviewHenry Schein is a provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, medical and animal health.
