[Remote] DC Power Telecom Technician Level III/IV - New Mexico

Exponential Power is seeking a Level III/IV Lead Installer responsible for quality installation of equipment in central office and outside plant environments. The role requires extensive travel and involves installing, testing, and turning up equipment while ensuring compliance with engineering instructions and customer standards.ResponsibilitiesInstall, test, and turn up equipment in the Central Office and Outside Plant EnvironmentsAdd and/or removal of battery stringsPerform additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuitsAdd and/or remove circuits on working power distribution equipmentInstallation of auxiliary framing and relay racksOnÂsite analysis of job drawings and specifications to resolve any issues prior to job startPreparation of SMOPs and DMOPs for the projectFunction as the point Âof contact for support groups such as engineering, material assignment, etcReview the work assignments and project steps (reference the SMOP/DMOP) before each work shift so that all personnel, including contractors, are aware of their roles and responsibilities during the scheduled work tourCompleting the job log as per company standards, including the personnel and hours worked by each work items completed or in progress and notable site or project issuesComplete DC audits, preventive maintenance, and/or load testing of DC power systems and standby batteriesAdd and/or upgrade software as neededOversee the work assignment, time management, and training and development of all personnel assigned to the jobMaintain a professional orientation, ensuring quality and outstanding customer serviceSkillsLevel 4 installers shall have a minimum of 6 years accumulated experience or equivalent as determined by the TC specificationsDemonstrated knowledge of a variety of customer standards including but not limited to Telcordia StandardsStrong verbal and written customer facing skillsStrong computer skills to include MS Office experienceExperience with complying with all customer standards and paperwork including testing and closeout paperworkProficient in the use of electronic test equipmentTechnical degree preferredSpecial electronics training or work experienceCompany OverviewExponentialTM Power is the joint force of Storage Battery Systems, Nolan Power Group, Quality Standby Services and Summit Power Systems.
