[Remote] DataOps & Build Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ALOIS Solutions is seeking an experienced DataOps & Build Engineer to help architect and scale a next-generation, cloud-native data platform. This role involves defining a DataOps framework, establishing best practices for data pipeline development, and implementing CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Define and champion a DataOps framework covering release management, environment promotion, and data quality standards
ā¢ Establish and enforce best practices & SOPs for data pipeline development, testing, and deployment
ā¢ Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data code and data infrastructure
ā¢ Build and manage data workflows using Dagster or Talend, with a strong focus on automation and reliability
ā¢ Enforce Git best practices (branching strategies, repo standards, versioning) across data teams
ā¢ Partner with Infrastructure teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in AWS
ā¢ Design resilient pipelines with automated rollback and failure recovery
ā¢ Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure visibility into pipeline health and performance
ā¢ Ensure security and compliance through IAM, encryption, and cloud best practices
ā¢ Implement automated testing and data quality checks (schema validation, data integrity, drift detection)
ā¢ Drive cloud cost optimization and efficient resource usage across data workloads
Skills
ā¢ 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, DevOps, or DataOps roles
ā¢ Proven, hands-on experience implementing CI/CD for data pipelines and data infrastructure
ā¢ Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and cloud-native architectures
ā¢ Deep AWS experience (S3, IAM, networking, security)
ā¢ An automation-first mindset ā you eliminate manual work wherever possible
ā¢ Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working across data, infra, and security teams
ā¢ Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required
