[Remote] Database/Data Warehouse Developer

One Inc is a rapidly growing digital payments platform in the insurance industry, and they are seeking a talented Database/Data Warehouse Developer to join their team. The role involves developing and maintaining database solutions and data warehouse architectures to support business operations and analytics needs, while collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring data integrity and security.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop, and maintain database solutions and data warehouse architectures using MSSQL 2019/2022 and MySQL 8
ā¢ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs for data storage and processing
ā¢ Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS, BIML, and DBT to ensure efficient data integration and transformation
ā¢ Implement and manage solutions within Power BI Fabric for enterprise-scale data analytics
ā¢ Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application and reporting requirements
ā¢ Optimize query performance through indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and database tuning techniques
ā¢ Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, data integrity problems, and system bottlenecks
ā¢ Monitor database health, perform capacity planning, and implement proactive maintenance strategies
ā¢ Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Python to streamline database operations and maintenance tasks
ā¢ Ensure data security, backup and recovery procedures, and compliance with organizational standards
ā¢ Utilize version control tools such as Git and project management tools like Jira and Confluence or similar platforms as required
ā¢ Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating on concurrent developments and contributing to team success
ā¢ Document database architectures, ETL processes, standards, and procedures
ā¢ Stay current with database technologies, best practices, and emerging trends in data warehousing
ā¢ Provide technical guidance and support to team members and end-users as needed
ā¢ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to data management and analytics infrastructure
Skills
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in database development and data warehouse solutions
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
ā¢ Proven experience as a Database Developer, Data Warehouse Developer, or similar role
ā¢ Strong proficiency in MSSQL 2019/2022 and MySQL 8, including advanced SQL programming
ā¢ Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks: SSIS, BIML, and DBT
ā¢ Experience with Power BI Fabric and its integration with data warehouse solutions
ā¢ Expert-level SQL skills with demonstrated ability in query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
ā¢ Deep understanding of database design principles, normalization, dimensional modeling, and indexing strategies
ā¢ Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Python
ā¢ Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
ā¢ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
ā¢ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
ā¢ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
ā¢ Certification in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or related database technologies is preferred
ā¢ Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus
