[Remote] Database Administrator Host Services

They are seeking a Database Administrator to analyze and optimize the company’s operating applications and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance while managing vendor relationships and security practices.ResponsibilitiesProvide support for assigned applications, ensuring high availabilityProvide hands-on and remote troubleshooting and problem resolutionDrive efforts to proactively identify application or system issues improving availability and performanceEnsure application Service Level Agreements are exceeded by maintaining ownership of incidents through resolutionComplete projects, coordinate with team members and provide status updatesTrack problems and bugs with vendors and communicate as resolutions are implementedResponsible for vendor management; system OS, software, & infrastructure upgrades; gathering quotes; investment proposals; and change managementResponsible for providing financial information for budgeting and helping to forecast future spending needsCoordinate the prompt diagnosis and resolution of infrastructure issues that have an impact on the production environmentManage demands of deadlines that are responsible for all host services implementations and conversion-related activitiesPerform troubleshooting techniques to solve problems, working with appropriate vendors for resolutionStay current on security-related issues and analyze the impact on Navanta; making recommendations for security management and monitoring processesGenerate and maintain virtual servers; perform cloning tasks and snapshots and monitors performance for assigned systems and applicationsResponsible for appliance/workstation/server security for supported systems and softwareResponsible for backup strategy, documentation, and verificationResponsible for replication/high-availability strategy, documentation, and verificationEnsure vulnerabilities are managed with priority and aligned with the Navanta vulnerability policyPerform all duties with a high level of change management aligned with Navanta change management policySystems’ performance and capacity monitoring and reportingAssist in the installation, maintenance and support of company serversActively participate in special projects and strategic initiatives based on our priorities for the yearPerform other duties as assignedSkillsWorking knowledge of security practices relating to workstations, servers, internet, etcAbility to use troubleshooting techniques to resolve Fiserv host environment and underlying infrastructureKnowledge of Microsoft Suite of products; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etcStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsDesire to continually improve and contribute to our purpose of empowering community bankers and our people to thrive together3-5 years' experience with application/system supportSQL experience and database administration is requiredWorking knowledge of Progress OpenEdge databases is requiredLinux, Unix, or AIX operating system experience is requiredFiserv Precision experience is strongly desiredFiserv Premier experience a plusIBM i operating system experience is a plusPrevious experience in the banking industry a plusCompany OverviewWe are now Navanta.
