About the Role
This Data Scientist position is part of our Cost and Operations Analysis team, focusing on enhancing efficiency, automation, and supplier experience. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement models, tools, and algorithms to optimize processes related to HCB's case environment, driving efficiency and productivity.
Identify and quantify opportunities for analysis to improve efficiency and increase automation in claims adjudication and claims adjustment.
Create, validate, and execute algorithms and predictive models to investigate issues, identify patterns, and recommend solutions.
Analyze, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various formats to inform business decisions.
Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems.
Utilize advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analysis to drive insights and recommendations.
Develop data architectures and pipelines to integrate, collect, and normalize data that generates insights and addresses reporting needs.
Use data visualization techniques to communicate analytical results effectively and support business decisions.
Create and evaluate the data needs of assigned programs and ensure the integrity of the data.
Analyze existing data and recommend additional sources of data for enhancements.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
2+ years of relevant analytical experience, preferably in a healthcare or finance setting.
Proficiency in programming languages, such as R or Python, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
