[Remote] Data Science Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Sage Group is seeking a Data Science Analyst to support the development of an AI-ready semantic layer for various data types. This role involves transforming raw business data into structured assets that enable Generative AI applications within the organization.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain semantic models for products, brands, categories, retailers, channels, and business metricsDevelop metadata, business glossaries, and knowledge repositories that enable AI systems to understand CPG data and terminologyWrite Python and SQL code to automate data mapping, tagging, classification, and semantic enrichment to support natural language query capabilitiesTranslate POS data and business concepts into machine-readable definitionsContribute to data governance, quality, and documentation standards that support enterprise AI applicationsPartner with data, analytics, and business stakeholders to improve semantic consistency and data usability across teamsSupport the ongoing enhancement of semantic and metric layers used for analytics and AI-driven use casesSkillsBachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, or a related field3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, semantic modeling, or related data-focused workStrong programming skills in Python and SQLFamiliarity with Azure cloud data platformUnderstanding of dimensional data modeling and interest in semantic or graph-based data structuresExposure to semantic and metric layers and familiarity with Generative AI conceptsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience working with POS, retailer, syndicated, or other CPG-related data setsExperience creating business glossaries, metadata frameworks, or knowledge repositoriesAbility to work cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholdersExperience supporting AI-ready data environments or natural language query use casesCompany OverviewThe Sage Group, a 24 Seven company, is a leading talent solutions firm with a fine-tuned approach in the marketing, technology, and business operations space.
