The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with various data management tools.ResponsibilitiesSupporting end user reporting requirements gathering and analysis in consultation with Business Analysts and end usersAdministering weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual dashboards and reportsIdentifying and supporting opportunities for automated workflowsDesigning, developing, testing and validating new reports, dashboards and processes of simple complexityUnderstanding and applying continuous improvement processes, policies, and procedures and internal control standards to ensure 'One Source of Truth' reportingSupporting the development and enhancement of reporting capabilities across our analytical and data management tool sets (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.) through input and testingPerforming and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/designCollecting, analyzing, mining and leveraging data stored in data warehouse universes and databases utilizing company supported tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Python, BI, etc.)Supporting the development of techniques and models to evaluate business results, risk exposure, and identify drivers of deviations from plan, including sales and agent practices, claims and persistency experience, processing methods, team production and utilization, staffing forecasts and/or operational expensesExecuting and maintaining forecasting models of simple complexity to project business needs and /or resultsExecuting and maintaining basic financial analyses including cost benefit analyses, cost estimates, and decision support analyses to provide business partners with financial impact information to make business decisionsSupporting business partners with various ad hoc analyses designed to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness of each departmentSkillsBachelor's degree in business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline or equivalent to 8 years of relevant experience required1 year of data analysis experience in data analysis preferably in Insurance, Financial Services or Operations Consulting role requiredIntermediate/advanced technical skills including Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, Business Objects, Tableau and Alteryx requiredA strong verbal and written communicator, especially as it related to presenting fact-based analyses to business partnersMaster's Degree in related discipline, or equivalent 12 years of relevant experienceExperience in the Insurance or Financial Services field preferredExperience with or ability to learn and use SQL, SAS or similar tools preferredCan effectively coordinate small report development projectsExhibit strong, independent critical thinking skillsWillingness to work in the central or eastern time zoneBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision insurancePerformance-based bonus or sales incentive401(k) retirement plan with company matchShort-term & long-term disability insurancePaid time off and 10 corporate holidaysPaid parental leaveCompany-paid life insuranceMental & Financial Well-Being ResourcesCNO supports a flexible work environment and encourages Associates to work where they are most productive.This position may work fully remote from any US-based location, provided they are able to work Central or Eastern Time hours.Associates living within 60 miles of a corporate office (Carmel, IN; Chicago, IL; or Orlando, FL) have access to work from that location as needed.Company OverviewCNO Financial Group, Inc.
