Position Overview
The Remote Data Entry Specialist role is a full‑time, work‑from‑home position that supports careerzynith’s pharmacy and patient enrollment teams. You will be the primary conduit for accurate, HIPAA‑compliant data entry, ensuring that prescription orders, patient profiles, and medication histories are captured precisely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

Enter new patient enrollment information into careerzynith’s proprietary pharmacy management system, adhering to all privacy and security protocols.
Process prescription refill requests, top‑off orders, and medication change forms while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Investigate and resolve missing or incomplete medication data by contacting prescribers, patients, or insurance representatives.
Interpret and accurately input clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) and dosage instructions into the system.
Manage inbound and outbound communications—including phone calls, secure messages, and emails—to address patient inquiries, verify insurance details, and confirm prescription authorizations.
Identify and correct “outside oddities” (data discrepancies) by reviewing source documents, making necessary edits, and resubmitting records for approval.
Provide timely support to pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, both on‑site and in remote locations, escalating complex issues to senior staff when needed.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of careerzynith’s data entry procedures, software updates, and regulatory changes.
Complete required certifications or professional licenses within the first 90 days of employment and keep them current throughout your tenure.
Document all interactions and data changes in the system audit trail to ensure traceability and accountability.


Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic computer proficiency: ability to start, shut down, and navigate a PC; use a mouse; open, save, and print documents; and access web‑based applications.
Fundamental internet navigation skills, including entering URLs, using browser back/forward controls, bookmarking, and completing online forms.
Keyboarding speed of at least 25 words per minute with a focus on accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey information clearly in both hard‑copy and electronic formats.
Minimum age of 18 years.


Preferred Qualifications

One year of experience in a pharmacy or retail environment, preferably with exposure to call‑center operations.
Experience with state‑mandated pharmacy licensing or certification processes.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, meeting service‑level agreements and quality standards.
Intermediate to advanced typing speed of 35 WPM or higher, with the ability to type from memory.
