Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
Type data into our... database from paper documents provided directly from customers
Enter data into a proprietary web application
Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Requirements to become a freelance data entry clerk/typist on Upwork:
Must be over the age of 18 with an internet connection
No prior experience is required but prior experience is preferred
Preferred skills for freelance data entry specialist
1+ years experience as a data entry clerk or in a related field
Basic understanding of databases
Strong, demonstrated computer skills
Ability to type at least 60 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy
