[Remote] Data Engineer

They are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain the data infrastructure for a cloud-based case management system for a federal financial regulatory agency.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain data marts, materialized views, and data pipelines within an AWS Aurora PostgreSQL environmentSupport data integration between the core system and downstream platforms including MicroStrategy and enterprise reporting toolsDesign and optimize data workflows that support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-makingMonitor data pipeline health and troubleshoot performance and data quality issuesCollaborate with engineering and product teams to support new data-driven featuresSupport compliance with federal data security requirements including FISMA and NIST 800-53SkillsStrong proficiency in SQL and experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databasesExperience building and maintaining data marts, materialized views, or ETL/ELT pipelinesFamiliarity with AWS data services and cloud-based data infrastructureUnderstanding of data security and governance in federal or regulated environmentsThrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional teamCommunicates clearly and openly, whether documenting data flows or collaborating with engineers on integration designApplicants must be authorized to work in the United StatesBachelor's DegreeExperience integrating with enterprise reporting or BI tools such as MicroStrategy is a plusBenefitsFully remoteTech & Education StipendComprehensive Benefits PackageCompany Match 401(k) planFlexible PTO, Paid HolidaysCompany OverviewOddball is dedicated to digital modernization of federal citizen-centric services.
