[Remote] Data Engineer

The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain secure data pipelines and infrastructure to support healthcare analytics and product platforms, ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver healthcare data from multiple sources, including EHRs, claims systems, labs, and registriesDevelop and maintain data models and warehouses that support analytics, reporting, and real-world evidence generationEnsure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare data privacy and security standardsWork with product managers, architects, and data scientists to translate business and clinical requirements into technical specificationsImplement best practices for data quality, lineage, and governance across all data assetsDevelop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Snowflake, dbt, and modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Participate in peer code and design reviews to ensure accuracy, scalability, and maintainabilityTroubleshoot complex data issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement long-term solutionsServe as a technical subject matter expert for healthcare data engineering and integrationSupport internal and external stakeholders by addressing data-related inquiries and production issuesSkillsMinimum 3 years of experience in data or software engineeringStrong SQL development experience, including stored procedures and performance optimizationHands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and cloud-based data technologiesSolid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modeling conceptsWorking knowledge of healthcare data standards and formats (HL7, FHIR, X12, CCD, etc.)Familiarity with healthcare data types (clinical data, claims, pharmacy, lab, and patient registries)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldβor equivalent professional experienceProficiency in one or more modern programming languages (SQL preferred; Python or Java a plus)Experience working in agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Mage Ai (a plus), Airflow, Prefect)Exposure to healthcare analytics, population health management, or real-world evidence generationAdvanced degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related fieldFamiliarity with healthcare interoperability frameworks and APIsBenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision Insurance beginning the 1st of the month following your date of hirePaid Time Off401k with employer matchPaid Holidays and Floating HolidayCompany OverviewIntegra Connect is a healthcare technology company focusing on specialty care data, insights from powerful AI, and analytics solutions.
