You understand how data centres work at a technical level (power draw, cooling, PUE/WUE, grid interconnection and energy procurement) ideally from time spent operating, designing, advising or auditing facilitiesCarbon and energy accounting rigour. You're fluent in GHG accounting (Scope 1/2/3), embodied vs. operational emissions, and the hard parts: market vs. location-based methods, 24/7 carbon-free energy matching, and where the numbers get gamedA track record of real delivery. You've produced work the industry takes seriously. You helped data centers secure permits & certifications, pass audits, and write sustainability reportsโor you've consulted closely enough to do soHigh agency, commercially minded. You can independently figure out a new area and drive it forward under high ambiguity, with a strong bias to action.
