[Remote] Data Analyst, Risk and Operational Performance

The Data Analyst, Risk and Operational Performance will elevate decision-making by uncovering trends and providing insights into business performance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Act as a trusted business advisor to the Core Service team, proactively identifying trends and driving efficiency improvements
ā¢ Own the design of dashboards, metrics, and reports, turning data into actionable insights for the fraud, funding, risk and support experience teams
ā¢ Dive into large, complex datasets/logs to turn your findings into scalable data models necessary to facilitate reporting, analytics and ML models
ā¢ Lead cross-functional projects with analysts, scientists, engineers, and product teams to build data pipelines using Airflow, Python, and DBT
ā¢ Develop and automate reporting of key performance indicators across core services teams
ā¢ Be at the forefront of data innovation by experimenting, testing hypotheses, and translating insights into action
ā¢ Develop high-quality code for pipelines and dashboards, incorporating software engineering best practices
Skills
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in data analysis and data management within the Fintech industry gained in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
ā¢ Experience working with fraud, funding, finance and customer support teams to analyze and optimize operational performance across the business systems
ā¢ This role requires expert SQL skills and hands-on experience in Python
ā¢ Hands-on experience using dbt (data build tool) to model and organize data for reporting and decision-making
ā¢ Experience setting up and managing data pipelines, with a strong understanding of data workflow orchestration
ā¢ Capable of creating intuitive dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex insights clearly
ā¢ Strong communicator who can simplify complex data ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences

ā¢ A degree in a field emphasizing analytical rigor, such as analytics, software engineering or economics
ā¢ Based in Canada and the US and fluent in English
