[Remote] Cybersecurity Analyst II - SOC & GRC

The Cybersecurity Analyst II - SOC & GRC will ensure the security and compliance posture of Protera and its clients by managing security controls, monitoring security events, and enhancing existing security frameworks. Responsibilities • Monitor security alerts and incidents, investigating and responding promptly to potential security threats • Manage and support the ongoing governance, risk, and compliance activities across the organization • Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations • Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and standards • Perform risk assessments and audits, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending solutions for risk mitigation • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulatory requirements to enhance the security posture • Assist in designing and implementing security awareness training programs for staff Skills • 4+ years in cybersecurity, risk management, or compliance roles, ideally within a SOC environment • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and governance, risk, and compliance practices • Experience with security monitoring tools and vulnerability assessment tools • Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and security compliance reviews • Familiarity with incident response processes and best practices • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks effectively • Excellent communication skills to present technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment • Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities • Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent • SIEM: Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar • Vulnerability Management: Qualys, Nessus, or similar tools Benefits • Two PPO Medical plans • Dental • Vision • Health Savings Account • Flexible Spending Accounts • Dependent Care FSA • 401k retirement savings plan • Company paid Life Insurance • Flexible PTO policy • Paid Holidays Company Overview • Certified SAP and enterprise cloud service provider It was founded in 1998, and is headquartered in Westchester, Illinois, USA, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
