[Remote] Cyber Security Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TPI Global Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Sr. Engineer to support key business initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure security and privacy standards are met. The role involves guiding project teams through the security integration process, managing security risks, and promoting security as a business enabler.ResponsibilitiesPromotes security and privacy as a business enabler through effective partnership with product, strategy and engineering teamsWorks closely with project teams to fully understand business priorities and strategyReviews solution designs and identifies opportunities for security integrationAssigns risk-based security and privacy requirements to project teamsEnsures solutions are secure through participation in all phases of the lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design, then implementation, followed by validationWorks with project teams to identify and mitigate security and privacy risksLeads cost-risk tradeoff discussions with the project teams, helping to decide how important and at what increased cost each security requirement can be justifiably implementedDocuments status of project’s assigned security and privacy requirements including risks and exceptionsInfluences product selection and negotiates security and privacy requirements with teams and vendorsIdentifies security trends and relates to current and future needs of project teams as well as security and privacy standardsEstablishes functional goals for improving security and privacy operations and then initiates and drives team members toward achieving those goalsSkillsBachelor's degree in a related discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology etc.) and 4 years' experience in a related fieldThe right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field in lieu of degree3+ years of experience working in security architecture, operations, design, or developmentDemonstrable experience across multiple security domains relative to data protection, IT risk, network security, application security, security operations, remote access technologies, and identity and access managementKnowledge of security operations including change management, incident management, configuration management, and vulnerability managementAbility to manage multiple engagements and effectively prioritize workloadStrong problem-solving skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience with security controls design, implementation, and validation, time management and organization skills, negotiation, and influenceAt least one relevant industry certification – CISSP, CISM, CISA, etcBig four consulting background or Fortune 500 company experienceTelecom/Cable industry experienceKnowledge of IT and security frameworks, such as NIST or CISExperience with public cloud security architecture and solutionsExperience with container security architecture and solutionsCompany OverviewTPI Global started in 1998, providing technical professionals to businesses scrambling to fix the Y2K bug.
