They are seeking a part-time Cyber Security Consultant to assess and improve the security posture of client environments, focusing on Oracle-related systems and integrations. The role involves performing security assessments, recommending remediation strategies, and collaborating with clients on security requirements and solutions.ResponsibilitiesAssess and improve the security posture of client environments, focusing on Oracle-related systems and integrationsPerform security risk and vulnerability assessmentsReview application and network architecturesRecommend practical remediation strategiesCollaborate with client stakeholders to define security requirementsDevelop security controls and best practicesSupport the implementation of security solutionsPrepare clear documentation, security reports, and recommendationsAdvise clients on regulatory, compliance, and governance considerations relevant to their technology stackSkillsStrong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security principles, including risk management, governance, and security best practicesHands-on experience with Network Security, including secure configurations, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, and monitoringExperience in Application Security, including secure SDLC practices, code review collaboration, and application threat modelingProficiency in conducting Vulnerability Assessments, using relevant tools and frameworks, and translating findings into actionable remediation plansFamiliarity with securing enterprise platforms such as Oracle or similar ERP and database environments is highly beneficialAbility to communicate complex security topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, in writing and verballyExperience working in a consulting, client-facing, or advisory role, including requirements gathering and stakeholder managementBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceSelf-directed, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time environmentRelevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or vendor-specific security certifications) are a plusCompany OverviewPowering Oracle.
