[Remote] Cyber Security Analyst

The role involves monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, managing vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with security policies and industry frameworks.ResponsibilitiesMonitor security alerts and logs using SIEM and security monitoring toolsInvestigate suspicious activities and potential security incidentsAnalyze system, application, and network logs to detect anomalies and threatsIdentify, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidentsSupport incident containment, remediation, and recovery activitiesDocument incident findings and coordinate with security teams for resolutionPerform vulnerability scanning and risk assessmentsIdentify security weaknesses and recommend remediation actionsWork with IT teams to implement patches and security updatesSupport implementation of organizational security policies and proceduresAssist with compliance requirements aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS frameworksParticipate in security audits, risk assessments, and documentationUtilize security tools such as SIEM (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systemsSupport continuous improvement of security monitoring and threat detection processesSkillsBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldMinimum 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security rolesKnowledge of network security, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response processesExperience with SIEM tools, endpoint security platforms, and vulnerability management toolsFamiliarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CISStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentCompany OverviewAaraTech Inc. is a leading IT solutions and services provider dedicated to empowering businesses through innovative technology solutions.
