[Remote] Cyber Defense Analyst (Puerto Rico)

They are seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst to support the operation and maintenance of enterprise network security services while developing expertise in firewall technologies. The role involves troubleshooting network issues, monitoring security events, and participating in a structured learning program to gain industry-recognized certifications.ResponsibilitiesSupport the administration and operation of enterprise firewall and network security platformsAssist with implementing and maintaining network security policies and controlsTroubleshoot network connectivity and security issues under the guidance of senior engineersLearn and support Palo Alto Networks firewall technologies and related security servicesMonitor network security events and assist with incident investigation and resolutionWork with internal customers and engineering teams to support secure and reliable network servicesParticipate in a structured self-paced learning program utilizing computer-based training (CBT) and hands-on lab exercises. The learning path will include foundational networking concepts, core cybersecurity principles, and progressively advance to Palo Alto Networks technologies and firewall engineering. Each phase of training may culminate in obtaining an industry-recognized certificationParticipate in a rotational on-call schedule after completing training and demonstrating proficiencyThis position will reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities.
